DESCRIPTION:  \nMark your calendar: 7:00am-11:00am on Saturday\, December 6th for the 2025 Cops and Kids™ event held at Wegmans Sterling 45131 Columbia Pl\, Sterling\, VA and Target  45130 Columbia Pl\, Sterling\, VA \nThe Loudoun-Dulles Fraternal Order of Police Lodge (FOP) #69 is hosting the annual “Cops and Kids” Holiday shopping event on Saturday\, December 6th\, 2025. This is the Lodge’s premier event where we get to make a bit of a difference for a child who is less fortunate.  More than 100 children participate each year. \nThe FOP is seeking Public Safety volunteers for this annual event! All uniformed law enforcement officers and civilians who are employed by a law enforcement agency (i.e. Dispatchers\, Auxiliary Officers\, Records Management Personnel\, Chaplains\, and others) are encouraged to participate. Volunteers will escort the children on their shopping spree at the Target store. All volunteers are encouraged to bring canned food donations help spread holiday cheer beyond the “Cops and Kids” event to help those in need during this holiday season.  The donation will support\, a local non-profit\, Loudoun Hunger. \nHere are a few suggestions for the Loudoun Hunger Food List: \n\nDry beans\nWhole grain pasta\, rice\nFresh fruits & vegetables\nBreakfast Cereal\nCanned meats (tuna or chicken)\nMac and Cheese\nPeanut butter\nHearty soups\nCooking oil\nGranola bars / energy bars\n\nIf there are any questions or more information is required\, please contact Christopher Hapsas at cjhapsas@verizon.net.

This is the Lodge’s premier event where we get to make a bit of a difference for a child who is less fortunate.  Over 100 children are scheduled to participate this year. \nThe FOP is seeking Public Safety volunteers for this annual event! All uniformed law enforcement officers and civilians who are employed by a law enforcement agency (i.e. Dispatchers\, Auxiliary Officers\, Records Management Personnel\, Chaplains\, and others) are encouraged to participate. Volunteers will escort the children on their shopping spree at the Target store.
