2025-2026 Lodge Scholarship Application

Brothers and Sisters:

We are pleased to announce that, beginning this year, FOP Loudoun-Dulles Lodge #69 will be providing three (3) $1000.00 college/trade school scholarships for qualified members.

Anyone who has a son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter interested in applying for a 2024 FOP scholarship, must return a completed application packet via email to the Scholarship Committee by April 1, 2025 5:00pm. Awarded scholarships will be issued before June 1, 2025. Attached are the Criteria & Instructions and Application forms.

All documents must be scanned/saved as a single .pdf file and submitted via email to secretary@vafop.org by the above deadline with Scholarship Committee in the subject line. Applications submitted any other way will not be accepted. Please ensure that you submit your application package as only one .PDF file. Emails with multiple .PDF files attached will be returned for re-submission.

Please note the following criteria:
• Applicant must be the son/daughter or child living in the household of an FOP member in good standing or the grandson/granddaughter of a deceased Lifetime member.
• Applicants can be awarded up to 2 scholarships in non-consecutive years.
• Applicant must be accepted to or currently attending an accredited college, university or trade school as an undergraduate full-time student as defined by that accredited college or university.
• Applicant must be working toward his/her first undergraduate degree and in his/her 1st to 4th year of college/university/trade school study (not eligible in 5th or subsequent years).
• Academic criteria for the consideration and awarding of the scholarships shall be as follows:
If the applicant has never attended an accredited college or university, a 3.0 overall academic average under a 4.0 quality point average system, or a 3.5 overall academic average under a      5.0 quality point average system must be achieved and demonstrated after the seventh (7th) semester of high school.
If the applicant has attended or is currently attending an accredited college or university, a 3.0 overall academic average must be achieved and demonstrated after the last completed semester, quarter, or trimester.
