Cops & Kids 2019
December 7, 2019 @ 07:00 - 12:00
Mark your calendar: Saturday, December 7 for the 2019 Cops and Kids™ event.
The Loudoun-Dulles Fraternal Order of Police Lodge (FOP) #69 is hosting the annual “Cops and Kids” Holiday shopping event on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 0700 hours at the Sterling Wegmans (45131 Columbia Place, Sterling, VA 20166) followed by shopping at the adjacent Target store. This is the Lodge’s premier event where we get to make a bit of a difference for a child who is less fortunate. Over 100 children are scheduled to participate this year.
The FOP is seeking Public Safety volunteers for this annual event! All uniformed law enforcement officers and civilians who are employed by a law enforcement agency (i.e. Dispatchers, Auxiliary Officers, Records Management Personnel, Chaplains, and others) are encouraged to participate. Volunteers will escort the children on their shopping spree at the Target store. Bi-lingual (Spanish) volunteers are needed to assist the families of the children that attend the event.
Schedule of Events:
0700- Breakfast will be provided Wegmans for all volunteers.
0800- The children will start checking in
0900- A walk with Santa and all of the volunteers to “Cops and Kids” shopping across the parking lot at the Target store.
